Division Chief of Administration and Prevention
Elizabeth Fire Protection District
Responsible for the day-to-day administrative operations for the district including Finance and Information Technology and Human Resources. Leadership/management of the operational Battalion Chiefs. Responsible for the fire investigation division including coordination with other entities, evidence collection and retention, and qualified and trained to investigate fires/explosions of accidental, incendiary, natural and undetermined cause. Responsible for all aspects of evaluating, developing, maintaining, and continually improving high quality, effective fire prevention and public education programs. Perform tasks as fire code development and enforcement, hazardous materials compliance, review of building development, site plans and special systems submittals. Coordinate or perform review and approval of building development plans and permits regarding access, water supply, fire protection systems and equipment. Review, inspect and approve new construction, new special systems, hydrant locations and other fire protection related projects. Serve as the Public Information Officer for the department managing all information to the public.
